A: Any deaf people who use videophone equipment that is made by: • Sorenson VP-100, VP-200, or nVP [nTouch] • D-Link DVC 1000 or 1100 • Blackcrow BCV-103 FAQ #2: Q: Does the VP Remote has all (or every) of the remote control functions for Sorenson VP-100, VP-200, or nVP [nTouch] and D-Link 1000/1100 and Blackcrow BCV-103? A: Yes. FAQ #3: Q: Does it mean that the VP Remote is a truly "6-in-1" videophone remote control? A: Yes. See the above first question and count how many different models can the VP Remote handles. FAQ #4: Q: Will the VP Remote works with different brands other than Sorenson or D-Link or Blackcrow? A: No. FAQ #5: Q: Will the VP Remote works with TV/VCR/DVD/Satellite/Fan? A: No. FAQ #6: Q: Will the VP Remote affect to my cellphone/pager/PDA? A: No. It is because VP Remote is sending in IR (infrared) instead of RF (radio-frequency). FAQ #7: Q: What is the size of VP Remote? A: It is 4.75" Long (L), 8.25" Wide (W), and 1.0" Deep (D). You can print out an actual photo size from here. FAQ #8: Q: Was Sorenson satisfied with the VP Remote? A: Yes. Sorenson's satisfaction was that the VP Remote does not required to physically break inside of any Sorenson's videophones. Considered all of Sorenson's videophones are equivalent to "Sacred Indian Burial Grounds". So, VP Remote doesn't dig to break their bones. FAQ #9: Q: If I have the VP Remote, can I still use the Sorenson videophone remote control? A: Yes. FAQ #10: Q: Since now I have the VP Remote, what shall I do with the videophone remote control? A: Do not throw it away. Just put it back in the box where you received the videophone for the first time (Note: Remove the battery to prevent corrosion). FAQ #11: Q: If I have the VP Remote, can I still use the videophone remote control as a back-up? A: Yes. FAQ #12: Q: How long is battery lasted on the VP Remote? A: Depends how often you use the VP Remote. Using the VP Remote frequently on a daily basis would lasted for about a year or so. FAQ #13: Q: I really love the VP Remote but I am not a Sorenson user, what shall I do? A: Contact Sorenson and apply for a videophone to be your default provider before you can use the VP Remote. See "Welcome Back to Sorenson" link here. FAQ #15: Q: I am an elderly or Senior Citizen person. I can't read the videophone remote control button because the letterings are too small. Will the VP Remote helps me any way? A: Yes. The VP Remote has wider buttons and larger texts for easy to read. See the funnies on Comic Strip #4. FAQ #16: Q: May I read all of the funnies on Comic Strips about the VP Remote? A: Sure, see the link here. FAQ #17: Q: I am deaf and visual-impaired. Will the VP Remote helps me any way? A: Yes. See the funnies on Comic Strip #4. FAQ #18: Q: I am deaf and have normal visual person. Will the VP Remote helps me any way? A: VP Remote is great when you need an extra videophone remote control around the house or even at the office. FAQ #19: Q: On the funnies (Comic Strip #2), a VP Provider does not give me another remote control replacement anymore after number of times, can I still buy the VP Remote? A: Yes. Then, you would be more careful with the VP Remote because you will be ending up paying for another replacement again. FAQ #20: Q: Is the VP Remote free? A: No. FAQ #21: Q: Where can I buy (or order) the VP Remote? A: From any authorized dealers. See the link here. FAQ #22: Q: Can I buy (or order) the VP Remote from Sorenson or through their Installers/Trainers? A: No. It is because of Sorenson's strict policy. FAQ #23: Q: Where do I send the VP Remote for a warranty repair if it breaks (just in case that I would like to know)? A: Check with your dealer first where you purchase the VP Remote from. FAQ #24: Q: Can I contact Sorenson Tech Support about the VP Remote warranty repair/replacement? A: No. It is because of Sorenson has nothing to do with the VP Remote at all. FAQ #25: Q: What is the manufacturer's warranty on VP Remote? A: One year from the date of purchase. Free parts and service. Enclose an original receipt and a $7.00 for return shipping & handling. FAQ #26: Q: If the VP Remote is out of warranty, what shall I do? A: Contact the manufacturer directly. See the contact link here. ![]() Technical Support: FAQ #1: Q: Can I contact Sorenson Tech Support about the VP Remote that does not work? A: No. It is because Sorenson has nothing to do with the VP Remote at all. FAQ #2: Q: My VP Remote does not work. A: Make sure that your VP Remote works only for Sorenson VP-100, VP-200, or nVP [nTouch] and D-Link DVC 1000/1100, and Blackcrow BCV-103 videophone equipment. FAQ #3: Q: Again, my VP Remote does not work! A: Check the two AA batteries to be sure that those are fresh and using alkaline-type. And most important of all, always check the proper matching (+) and (-) polarity signs. FAQ #4: Q: Once again, my VP Remote does not work! A: Depending which videophone models do you currently use. The default on VP Remote is VP200/nVP [nTouch]. If you are not using VP-200/nVP [nTouch], press & hold on a "A" key button from your left hand. Then, press once on the "KEYBOARD" key on your right hand. Verify that the red LED light blinks twice. If it does, it is a confirmation indicator of a switchover to a different model (VP-100 or D-Link 1000/1100 or Blackcrow BCV-103). Important Note: After replacing with new fresh batteries on the VP Remote automatically returns to the default of VP200/nVP [nTouch]. FAQ #5: Q: Okay last warning, my VP Remote does not even work! A: Keep your hands away from the front of VP Remote's front LED IR transmitter. FAQ #6: Q: My VP Remote's red LED is blinking forever. A: Make sure that all buttons are not stuck. ![]() Legal: FAQ #1: Q: Who owns the invention rights to the VP Remote design? A: DEAFWORKS. FAQ #2: Q: Who owns the Trademark rights to the "VP Remote"? A: DEAFWORKS. FAQ #3: Q: Who owns the Trademark rights to the VP-100, VP-200, or nVP [nTouch] and D-Link 1000/1100 and BCV-103? A: Sorenson, D-Link, and Blackcrow, respectively. FAQ #4: Q: A legal medical question - will the VP Remote cause me to get a CTS (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome)? A: No. Only if you don't use the VP Remote in repetition excessively as much as you use on your videophone remote control other than your pager or computer's keyboards. A common sense is know and when to limit using the VP Remote. DEAFWORKS or its authorized dealers are not responsible for your thumbs/fingers action. Drink and drive is your responsiblity so applying the same principle concept: Use VP Remote responsiblity. ![]() Business: FAQ #1: Q: How long have DEAFWORKS been in business? A: Since 1988. FAQ #2: Q: How did DEAFWORKS came up with a great innovative idea of VP Remote? A: DEAFWORKS surveyed with many deaf customers for their wish list on the videophone remote control. FAQ #3: Q: Is this VP Remote as the first one to come out? A: No. DEAFWORKS introduced the 1st generation VP Remote in selected marketing regions for a brief time in 2009 because most of the customers do not like the way how it was designed. So, DEAFWORKS quickly developed another newer 2nd generation VP Remote design which it was a completely different than the 1st generation VP Remote design. And, the results???... Everybody likes the new 2nd generation VP Remote (and loves it), too! FAQ #4: Q: Does DEAFWORKS have any warm business relationship with Sorenson? A: Yes. Since the early days (way back in 1999) for coming out on the eFLASHER to work with their EnVision and 1st generation desk-top videophone, VP-100.
